Confirming this bug. I am running only Openbox, and setting the date
even a couple of seconds back instantly causes the described
unresponsiveness (mouse moves, applications update the screen normally,
but clicks and keys do nothing). There is a way to avoid the power-

I've noticed a workaround. Pressing Alt-Tab a few times seems to cure
it, which is quite a relief.
By the way, I'm using focus-follows-pointer
(System-Preferences-Windows, Select windows when the mouse moves over
them). I'm wondering if everyone who experiences this bug has focus-

installs it for the gnoise-gnome package. The gnoise package is left
without a .desktop file. I'm not sure I understand the difference
between the two binaries, but previous packaging only installs the
.desktop for the -gnome

will start fine in my situation as well, but gnome-terminal, metacity,

I cannot reproduce this problem here. Changing the password, and then
trying to use this in a new shell does work here. (Note that you have to
