upgrading ububntu crashes
well, this seems to have been a fluke, perhaps caused by a previous
version of avahi-autoipd.
After I stopped avahi-autoipd, deleted the /var/lib/avahi-autoipd
directory, and restarted it, it went without any glitches.
I will keep on trying but, right now, I am considering it as a fluke.

though. Could you try to get an another valgrind log with G_SLICE
=always-malloc G_DEBUG=gc-friendly valgrind...?

I upgraded my Edgy machine to Feisty yesterday. Kernel is 2.6.20.6-generic. The
fan is always on before and after resume, though not a maximum speed.
With edgy it worked all right before and after resume, AFAICT.

(using Turion 64 proc from AMD and Ubuntu edgy x64)

This is my configuration:
Dell Inspiron 1501, AMD Turion X2 TL-50, 2G RAM
Distro: XUbuntu 6.10 Edgy
Problem, with default Ubuntu Kernel 2.6.17-10 , suspend and hibernate
didn't work. I read on some post that the AHCI driver have some problem
to be restore after a suspend on kernel 2.6.19
So I
that my issue for this problem :
For me it's ok with option nosmp to the kernel .
I'have, hp dv9000ea laptop , with broadcom 4310 , my graphic card is nvidia
7600 .
I use nvidia proprietary drivers and ndiswrapper for the wifi .
But the performance are reduced.

accounts are fine.
