Got it working. What's I missed before was that the executable in
electricsheep.desktop has to be in /usr/lib/gnome-screensaver/gnome-
screensaver/. When drawing on the root window you don't need

Unfortunetly, this really isn't a bug, most applications default pdf
titles to the file name, if you really want, you can file a bug
upstream, but since theres no way to really tell when we have a good pdf

0.2.15, which is significantly more stable, but 6 versions back, its
tough to diagnose, well mark it as fixed, since its a crawling problem
or the like, and if its still around in feisty, please re-file.

latest ipw3945 driver (1.2.0) on my feisty machine.
Grab it at http://ipw3945.sourceforge.net/#downloads . It's rather easy to
compile. Don't need new microcode or regulatory daemon for 1.2.0 -- the ones in
feisty will do

This happens on my Edgy system, too. I'm seeing a load of stuff in my
system log about wpa-supplicant, even though I'm using WEP (yeah, I
know.)

Yea I should have added before that I did the `sudo modprobe sony_acpi`
command and tested fsfn. This is actually how I came to the conclusion
that something is missing in the kernel for Sony Vaio ACPI.

I'm on edgy now but I've mostly stopped using the orinoco card, because
when I try it I usually have problems connecting, or a brief connection
followed by repeated "out of range" messages in dmesg. When I ask about
it I usually get answers like "nobody else ever complains about problems
picking up

I had the same problem. I am using Edgy Eft.
I got really annoyed because my disk was constantly filling up with
these log messages, and having hald use 50% of my CPU all the time isn't
too cool either. I don't think I was even able to log into KDE with a
full disk. It's a good thing I'm a degree-

The hotkeys for muting, hibernating, and display brightness adjustment
work fine for me as I have a Toshiba Satellite M35-S456. The hotkey for
suspend does not work at the current moment and I will be looking at it
shortly.
