If you run an Xnest'ed GDM session and login as a different user in it, and
then switch workspaces, the Xnest window disapears. It seems like the whole
nested session dies, but leaves some footprint so that when you run
gdmflexiserver again, you get to choose between a

rather a crash, than a hiding window.

OK ... did some reboots now for testing. Problem showed up one time and
patched script reacted und wait seemed to fix things. That means
/dev/hda6 realy didn't exist when first test occured (realy strange).

Crash opening a PDF

I'm running Feisty, installed from Herd 5 and updated to March 17 2007.
I go into hibernate by closing the laptop lid (the laptop is a Toshiba
Satellite A60-302).
On recovery, the fan is not activated, so the computer overheats and shuts down.

Firefox crashed when I was downloading a file

Feisty Fawn Herd 5 CD feisty-desktop-i386.iso booted into the live
environment.
Dialogs are hard to navigate if there are many windows on the desktop.
They are not in the window/task bar panel at the bottom, neither in the
alt-tab sequence.
They are therefore hard to find.

I've hit this bug, just now. It doesn't occur with my own user account,
but it does occur with any user account I create with the 'desktop'
profile. What's going on?
There is one difference though. It doesn't save the file, nor do I get

But the cube plugin isn't even enabled by default, why couldn't enabling
the cube plugin change the number of workspaces to 4 with the default
being the same as metacity's?

yeah.. that's true... i'm studing at university and i can understand
something about programming and something about linux.. but i've found
strange the way the package came out and the:Ok, you have nvidia
legacy, now i'll install drivers for new nvidias..

Hy there,
today I installed Feisty Fawn Herd 5, the system is up-to-date.
Here is the problem:
When i try to test the network via: ping 192.168.0.1 console told me that:
network is unreachable.
ifconfig tells me that my first network-card has no ip. So I`ve done: ifdown

I have assigned this bug to gnome-keyring, because it just idiotic it
even asks for passwords to store passwords associated with a user.
They are associated with a user. It should not ask for a 'global'
password in the beginnen, nor one to access stuff. Just one question
