to the /etc/initramfs-tools/modules file
Problem is solved! :)
It doesn't matter the /etc/fstab or the /boot/grub/menu.lst files... and
the new UUID.
*** Ubuntu devs should build those into kernel, not as modules.
I think it's just that the stock date format string is designed for
monospace terminals, and we're just borrowing that stuff for the clock.

I have the same problem on a MacBook Core Duo (not 2).
2.6.20-9 works fine, but upon upgrading, neither 2.6.20-10 nor 2.6.20-11

Kile also still recommends tetex packages.

1. I had disabled /etc/rcS.d/551ntpdate and placed it in the boot.local
to debug something on Dapper. Also tried same in Feisty. No luck.

Well, I tested the two machines that I have with e1000 (one was a
DG965SS), and both came back properly with e1000 still working.
We've seen this checksum problem before, so this bug is really a dupe.
It's shown up less and less as the e1000 driver gets worked on.
