I cannot verify/confirm, however double check your /etc/network/interfaces
file. KNetworkManager will not work properly if you have any special settings
in this file. Here is a copy of my file that works like a charm.

I can somewhat confirm this. In order for me to use KNetworkManager
after login, I have to perform the following:
1) Prior to logging in, I disable WiFi by pressing the Wireless button on my
laptop.
2) Once I login, and KDM displays its loading splash, I re-enable the WiFi with
the button again.

I just tried 5 different torrents (2 kubuntu.iso.torrents, 1 Metallica
torrent from Pirate Bay :) a slackware torrent, and a SUSE torrent) and

this issue happened already a second time.
on my laptop i have a 80gig build-in harddisk and a 160gig harddisk attached
with USB. During the Installation he asks me to choose on which harddisk I want
to install the system. The first device is the build in disk and the second
Seems to be working again after a kernel upgrade today.
I think the issue was not with Mesa libs but rather the previous kernel
image version.

Happens at boot every time. Booted in recovery mode. Hangs every time
at (in my case) ata2.01...qctimeout... There are a couple lines of info
(that I could provide if coached). It fails to recover then reports to
retry in 5 seconds.

There were 2 issues:
1) The /etc/init.d/smartmontools script won't start the daemon.
Solution: edit /etc/default/smartmontools , uncommenting start_smartd=yes
2) Automatic mailing doesn't work out of the box.
Solution: we need /usr/bin/mai

I input two columns of data in gnumeric. Then I select tools -->
statistical analysis --> t-test, gnumeric crashes. The crash is
reproduced irrespective of the entered data as soon as any test in 'Two
means' is selected.
