I've always used Webmin, and have always been able to get my XP box to
see the shares. Actually I love webmin for most administrative tasks.

This is a bit annoying, because eclipse-platform depends on
libtomcat5.5-java, which in turn depends on libcommons-dbcp-java.
Which means that you can't install Eclipse using only the Sun JVM, which
kind of sucks.

Fresh install of either Feisty Fawn Kubuntu beta or Ubuntu beta (former from
desktop CD and latter from alternate CD). Updates after install include new
kernel (2.6.20-13). Booting with the new kernel exits to a non-gui screen on

Using the context menu of the server to reconnect seems to work ok.
I don't know what you mean by "a new server". The server is not in the
default xchat settings, so I added a new server and then added one
server to it, configuring ssl and the port as per the wiki page.

Here's a debdiff to fix this: compiz-0.3.6-1ubuntu10 changed the ABI
without bumping the version. compiz-extra just has to be rebuilt
against the new compiz to work, and so we also need to bump the compiz
dependency up to >= -1ubuntu10

Were you by any chance trying to enable "New Login in a Nested Window"?
If so, this has a TryExec line so you have to have xnest installed for
it to enable. I should probably pop up a notice for this.
