~/Desktop, if you copy the same test script to ~/Desktop/test and run
it, you'll get the expected output - '/home/user/Desktop/test'.

There is a workaround for this bug: install the kmilo-legacy package,
and then delete the file
/usr/share/services/kmilo/kmilo_generic.desktop. Then you have the good
old behaviour of kmilo-thinkpad!

Not quite sure what happened to cause this crash. I had been
transferring some files from the network to my Sansa and had closed the
file manager window. After doing that, I opened a shell window to run
the 'sync' command to make sure the files were written to the device. I
I have just booted from the Feisty Desktop i386 CD so as to do an
install. Invited to complete the Ubuntu device database information
was up to the final screen that asks for additional comments when the
crash was generated. I haver not run any other user level applications

window previews seemed to freeze altogether on the screen and then beryl
