I mean't I tested the patch on the current kernel source and it applies,
builds and works with the iSight. One big bonus is the firmware loader
built in the module, there's only need to copy the firmware to
/lib/firmware :)

I have the same problem. This happen if Time Zone set to "Europe/Moscow", if
you switch Time Zone to different, for example "Europe/Kiev" and run Evolution
- everything works fine.

I started having this problem right after upgrading to Feisty. I solved
it by just uninstalling network-manager using add/remove applications. I
don't know if that's useful or not:

the up/down volume buttons on my keyboard control the IEC958 Center/LFE
channel, but the sound that i actually hear is "Analog Front"
