Our experiences were very similar. I installed feisty as a new
installation and during the process created an "nholtz" account for
myself. After installation, I repointed my newly created account to use
my personal files from before, by manually editting /etc/passwd and
changing the home director

Is there any progress on this ? I have the exact same situation, where I
need to supply break=mount and lvm vgscan/lvm vgchange -a y to boot. I
saw this on an edgy->feisty upgraded machine, then did a clean install
of feisty elsewhere (both have boot as a 'normal' partition and lvm for
everything e
I'm the Debian maintainer for Ion3 and I have seen similar symptoms, but I
don't believe Ion3 is at fault.

I have a related issue that may be related to the problem. After logging
out of my account the second time X crashes. This is very consistent it
always happens the 2nd time I logout of KDE. Killing X from a VT, then
switching back to the login with alt/ctl F7 locks up the display, mouse
and keyboar

second monitor, the screen saver will kick in if there has been no mouse

When attempting to enter address in the "To" field of the "compose"
window, after three (or so) characters are entered, Evolution freezes
and must be "force quit".
I assume it is attempting to check the contacts list; I am connected to

During my upgrade from Edgy to Feisty, the upgrade program that update-
manager crashed. It was in the process of installing packages, although
I wasn't watching it carefully enough to know which package was being
installed. All of a sudden the upgrade window vanished without

I've discussed this with Lars (liferea's developer) and he's added a
check to every link, so if it's a file://, liferea won't open it.

By the way, that doesn't solve this bug (the bad links will still be
present) but this won't lead to a security hole.
The bad urls will be fixed in the future, though. So I'll leave the bug

Unfortunately I can not see the card initialize in your dmesg output.
Did you unplug it and replug it before running the dmesg command? Does
the card work with manual configuration?
