I have a similar problem if I`m using the CPU on full power and without
any limitations the THZ*s will rise above 105°C/80°C (yes it is that
high) and the system is going down, but gladly in a controlled manner
(no file system check needed on next start up).

I removed beagle with synaptic and within moments, there was a software
update. For the first time, the CPU usage did not spike. I think you've

This is getting more complicated, as kaffeine 0.8.3 and the
TerraTec/qanu USB2.0 Highspeed DVB-T Receiver appear to be working

upstream has decided to finally switch to "do nothing" for the backspace

Hi, I have a laptop HP DV2000 series (dv2033ea) and when I upgrade the
bios, I have this problem! If I increase or decrease the bright, with Fn
keys, bright comes to MAX and i cant decrease it. It's really a problem
for me, becouse my laptop battery is not too biger...and i cant use it
for more tha
Still not working, now i am tryng ubuntu 7.04 and the networkmanager is
started, i had to install the wlan additional packages for prism cards,
after this i can see the wireless network but no connection.

I actually noticed this as well. It would be nice in terms of
consistancy, and can't be hard to implement. If the user expects it
(like I did) then it should work.

Could we maybe get the relavent /etc/X11/xorg.conf and
/var/log/Xorg.*.log files. I think this would help determine the
graphics cards driver status. This is likely not be the issue, but it is
nice to get it out of the way. I have noticed a bit of instability with
compiz 0.3.6 myself, just not this
