I would postulate the disappearance of the nvidia made no difference but

I just ran into this problem when trying to install Feisty. I did not
want to use the upgrade procedure (I was running Dapper and had heard
about all the problems in the Dapper - Edgy transition) so I decided to
do a fresh install. However, I only had a single partition containing
both dapper

regards to the priority of the various settings, and it seems quite
logical too.
In reality however, it doesn't function completely in this manner: what should
be lowest priority (file associations inode/directory) overrides

behavior is not exclusive to firefox, but happens with a MUCH MUCH
higher frequency when using it. My lspci output is attached. I will try
using konqueror and perhaps check if I can disable speedstep and see if

The ubuntu studio installer does not propogate kernel options to the
menu.lst grub config file after install.
In 7.04 feisty, using the live cd to install, my required kernel opts
(nosmp, noapic, nolapic) were automatically put into menu.lst so the
system would correctly

Konqueror using the GUI.
However if you add the following to ~/.kde/share/config/khtmlrc it will

I like how Kry didn't even read what I wrote.
Even if you *don't accept the standard*, it's still wrong. It should be
capitalized traditional KB or standardized KiB. Lowercase kB is wrong
no matter what.
