For the record, I did go ahead and change my settings, just now, to
Europe/Berlin in order to get the updated package installed. It
installed properly with those settings and I was able to change it right
back to America/Chicago and it came up correct.

I can confirm that the IDE-SCSI emulation is also broken in 2.6.20-16 on
my laptop.
My main (IDE) drive now mounts as /dev/hda instead of /dev/sda, and the
CD mounts as /dev/hdc instead of /dev/scd0.
This is a pain, because it looks like cds aren't mounting until you
change the fstab file to corr

I am also seeing this on my system - no prizes for guessing that this is
a KM400 chipset also. I am using the via driver, standard feisty kernel
- recently upgraded from an edgy install. I never saw anything like this
before the upgrade to 0.3.5 that came with feisty. It seems to happen
pretty well
