I have a notebook with a Celeron M 1.5 and had this same problem. It
went away after adding p4-clockmod (without quotes) to /etc/modules.
It even added the ability to change the CPU governor (showed as CPU
policy). Hope this helps.

I am experiencing the same problem as Jason Ribeiro abovevery

The only work around I have found for this is to open the file in a new
tab, copy and paste the url into kget's open file dialog, and download
it. This is really annoying... its something that the kde-look guys
really need to fix... if it weren't for this bug, that would be an
awesome site.

I just upgraded to Feisty and the main problem with the sound (that one

I've tested the results on Gutsy with 2 different media, one RW that needed to
be blanked and another fresh CD. Both times were done with the right clicking
and selecting Burn Image as described. Are you able to provide any backtrace

Using Kubuntu 7.04 and am still seeing this problem. Took me a few days
to find this workaround. Added acpi=noirq to the the grub menu.lst at
the end of the kernel line and I am now able to use ethernet. Had to do
this again after doing an update.

Confirmed in Kubuntu/Xubuntu/Ubuntu Feisty. I upgraded to the Gutsy
wireless-tools 29, which doesn't make any difference.
