I reproduced the mplayer crash.
I did a ps and found out the binary is actually named gmplayer.
It is not enough to just exit fullscreen mode, fullscreen mode must be left by
stopping playback.
The log is a little different from the last time I used gmplayer to crash X.

I run on Feisty and have almost the same problem, unless that I can
choose to wait like 1 minute for the file(s) to appear in the list. My
computer is not a slow one (x86, 1,8Ghz, 512Mb RAM DDR) , but it seems

The game nexuiz. In fact the picture is totally scrambled, and when I manage to
click the quit and yes button in this mess it crashes X.

Actually, my laptop is a Gateway M685 -- the non-consumer version of the NX860.
Video card is NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600. Gateway actually does not have any
proprietary ACPI modules -- they just have standard ACPI 3.0 code, likely in
order to comply with Microsoft's desires for Vista.

Binary package hint: blackbox
When blackbox and menu are installed on Ubuntu Feisty, the Debian submenu
appears as the whole Blackbox menu, rather than a submenu. This is because the
Ubuntu version of Blackbox looks for its menu in
/etc/X11/blackbox/blackbox-menu.

Can people who are affected by this please do the following:
sudo rm /var/crash/*
sudo rm /var/log/apport.log
/usr/share/apport/testsuite/run-tests 2>&1 | tee /tmp/apport-test.out
and attach /tmp/apport-test.out and /var/log/apport.log to bug 122688?
