I am having the same issue. My system is latest gutsy with the nvidia
binary package.
My system freezes when I try to kill X with ctrl-alt-backspace, when I

The system starts perfectly no more initial black screen and computer
freeze. Works on both pcs...
other than compiz, glxgears works fine. Tried Chess that used to work
and now crashes when asking for 3d view. and Blender 2.44 seems to work
fine...

Whether backup copies should be renamed with their originals depends on
the user's intent regarding the renaming. Consider the following use
case:

It started about a week ago, still there are no update.
IP is given by DHCP.
And at the system start eth0 is configured (if type sudo ifup eth0, it says
that), but no IP and red
It turns out that the problem is that an removed but not purged python-
mode package breaks emacs22:
10:44:12 seb128 siretart: confirmed, if you remove python-mode and
let it configured it breaks emacs22
we need to fix /etc/emacs/site-start.d/50python-mode.el for that.
