On my feisty system i was ablet o paste the code in just fine without
crash when starting gedit from terminal i will try GUi way as well.
neither crashed for me i was able to paste the code (just the code
block on that site) into geidt without an issue

I've had that bug too in the past, but this isn't it. But it's not easily
reproduceable.
Now, I can't see to make this happen, but before it happened a lot. (ie. it
kept happening even after I closed all the windows and re-opened them again)
But now it seems it gone. If it ever happens again,
