Exactly the same problem with a HP 6715s on gutsy ! Without the noapic option,
screen turns black during boot and nothing happens.
With noapic it runs (almost) stable, but it breaks Sleep/Hibernate.
Interesting is, that on feisty this problem didnt exists for me.

I installed Gutsy Beta on a Thinkpad X61 today and noticed slow booting
and fairly constant disk activity. Yes, top(1) revealed that it was
trackerd both eating the CPU *and* hammering my disk -- I was relieved

Wallpaper and sometime and exactly like andrewsomething : X seems to

Integrated speakers not deactivated when headphones has been plugged in.
Even gnome volume applet's 'headphones' switcher seems not helping.
Muting mutes only headphones, when switcher in checked (speakers still
sound).
Using Ubuntu Gutsy 2.6.22-12 on Acer 5052.

btw, does the ubuntu pda team have some email address? I want to forward
a mail from a pilot-link.org guy.
He thinks, that using libusb for palm sync by default is not such a good

I went through the kernel code path about how the shost-max_id is set.
Function mptspi_probe sets it to ioc-devices_per_bus. The
ioc-devices_per_bus comes from the pfacts-MaxDevices in
GetPortFacts(). And GetPortFacts() uses MPI_FUNCTION_PORT_FACTS as the
function to get the pfacts-MaxDevices. The

menubar), the icons get highlighted as i move the mouse over them but
dont get unhighlighted when the mouse leaves the icon. This leaves
multiple icons in the highlighted
Sorry for changing to wrong status, I am not familiar with the use of
each status, and I wrongly assumed that Fix Commited meant that the
fix was already available at the repositories and you were waiting for
testers.
I'll be more careful next time.

can't delete some files from root user direcoties from the trash, and the trash
is not restorable
I have the same problem. I upgraded from Feisty to Gutsy just a few days
ago and everything was fine until today. Now it can't connect to the
backend at all. I tried the --force-shutdown and did nothing, nor does
rebooting / restarting X.
I would really hate to go back to Windoze...
