Actually, disabling it made it as it should be, and EOG also has an option to
do that.
It appears it is a feature, not a bug after all, though it does affect printing
quality. So, probably it is a bug only for that specific type of image.

I have the same problem with a new Dell PC, it has no PS/2 ports, so
there is no way for me to work around it like that.
The keyboard works fine in the BIOS itself and during boot, but in the menu
that appears when booting a LiveCD it doesn't work.

There's no such thing as an Ubuntu splash and a Kubuntu splash, there's
only 1 splash used for all variants. However the splash in gutsy
includes an Ubuntu logo which goes against our "branding for
derivatives" policy where we do not include logos so that people can

I use the "ForcePCIMode" "true" option. They advised me this option at
the forum to get dri working. Maybe that's why xorg reports another
card. I will remove it and send a new log.
