click Cancel only once. But if I press the power button for example
five times, I have to click Cancel five times to make it disappear.

different than compiz --gweobrjgo4f or just compiz; it just restarts
Compiz. My point is that restarting Compiz is an (obvious) workaround.

I was able to reproduce this issue, and there was the following error in my
~/.xsession-errors file:

The latest BIOS is only available in Windows upgrade setup.
But I did it. :-)
I used a Windows Live CD Mini PE² XT. Before booting up, I inserted the USB
stick with BIOS update.

I was upgrading from dapper to gutsy using cdroms. The cdrom upgrades
to edgy and feisty went OK, so I was left with a working feisty install.

Open any window or start any program take time about 2-3 minutes.
On same mashine is installed Windows XP, and works very fast.

linkchecker sometimes segfaults
I have investigated this issue on two different laptops... both with fresh
installation of Gutsy.
On both laptops Load_Cycle_Count gets increased by 1 about every minute, which
is very bad...
Invoking 'sudo hdparm -B 255 /dev/sda solves problem on first laptop.
