Actually, with Gutsy Gibbon (fully updated) I still have the problem:
1) Fresh install
2) Right-click on Clock docklet, choose "Adjust Date/Time"
3) Choose "Keep synchronized with internet servers" in the "Configuration" list
4) Confirm to install NTP support
