+1 , as a developer I spend 6 to 10 hours in front of the screen almost
everyday. Dark background is more friendly for the eyes, what I do at
the moment is install ubuntu studio theme and modify it a bit to fit my

I can confirm this. It actually has only happened to me in Gutsy.
Feisty works normally. Home partition is encrypted with LUKS. The
