This still happens occasionally on my Thinkpad X61s with a iwl4965 -
maybe 1 in 20 suspends. Most of my wireless usage is on networks with
WPA-2 encryption (enterprise and personal).
I've just added the acpi scripts as suggested in the comment above,
which I assume will work around the problem,

Binary package hint: update-manager
From the first boot of alpha3 it gave me a failure to upgrade, saying it
would have to attempt a partial upgrade. I needed to drop to the shell
and do a dist-upgrade to get it worked.

Upon starting alpha3 I was unable to log in the first time I tried. I
got the gdm login screen, but then it failed to even get as far as
loading the menu bars.
I checked .xsession-errors and all I found that seemed related was:
