i can confirm this for hardy alpha 4 on IBM T43 laptop.
also, after each sound was played, additional entries were added in the
playback sections of Preferences > Sound. the added entries were "Intel

I disabled the desktop effects by going into
System->Preferences->Appearance->Visual Effects and selecting None. The
problem seemed to disappear after doing this. I then re-enabled the
desktop effects by changing the "None" to "Normal" and the bug re-

I have "Intel Corporation Mobile 915GM/PM/GMS/910GML" with the latest
apt-get update/upgrade of Hardy Heron (2008/02/09) and I've had Xorg
crash twice today. Last thing in Xorg.0.log.old is:

failled to recognize my graphic card and did not install "radeon"

So Gutsy's kernel doesn't have a /proc/slabinfo because the SLAB
allocator was replaced with SLUB and slub didn't do /proc/slabinfo until

I've installed SK1 using the DEB packages provided on the official site
(which are converted from RPMs). It doesn't work.
The SK1 people need to fix their program before we can be expected to
properly package it.

True, however gutsy needs an update since it's on a fairly old release,
and i was aiming to request enough to help, because not all users of
ubuntu will update to version 8.04 until their graphics drivers are
