I actually manage to solve it. It turns out that the solution was simply to
bring up Seahorse (Found under Applications-Acessories-Passwords and
Encryption Keys) and in that application open the Preferences.
There is a tab shown as Passphrase Cache, in that tab, activate the second
alternative

I have received a message from Caroline Ford suggesting to try Hardy
Haron Apha's thing. I did, Alpha 6, and the sound still doesn't work.

hmm, I've never considered this as a bug :) The workaround I've used is
to preseed partman-auto/disk with a couple of devices (/dev/sda
/dev/sde). Worked fine so far, although it is risky if there's the

I tried Hardy alpha6 last night, using the live/desktop version. After I
booted, and got a splash screen, the screen for choosing running live,
installing, etc, came up, superimposed with a request for which language
I wanted to use. After choosing English, the system went into a
restricted debug
I never did manage to get Apport to generate a crash report for this
bug, despite intentionally triggering the crash dozens of times.

Yes it has an option called Receive files from remote devices. But
without running gnome-obex-server, it doesn't work. While running it, it
seems that the applet already register the server.

I tried to toggle the volume with the Laptop's (LG XNote LM50a) volume
key, but nothing happened. I then tried by using the volume-applet, and
while decreasing the volume, it looked like my theme changed from human
to default (then back again). After that, it threw the error.
