Can someone get the EEE PC hardware into the hardware database or at
least an entry for an 800x480 monitor.
These changes have made a simple edit to xorg.conf extremely difficult.
If ubuntu doesnt detect the hardware then you cant get the native screen
resolution.

This is a desktop.
I haven't got the logic in this problem. In about 50% of the logins the
desktop size is larger than the monitor size and part of the application
windows are outside the monitor. When I log out and log back in the
problem is fixed.

I have localized the problem.
This key in .Xmodmap (To enable numeric keyboard) is causing the Xorg
crash:
keycode 77 = Num_Lock
Disable it and there is no crash when vmware switches to host dekstop.

I am sorry, the problem has returned.
The administrator button in KDE Control Centre (kcontrol) does not work.
When pressed, there is a Loading message and it hangs up after that.
Clicking any other function after that causes the program, to abort.

Hi, I have never noticed any problem with rhythmbox, but since I
installed Hardy banshee has ignored the play/pause, next, previous
multimedia keys. This prevents me from using banshee, which is a shame
because it seems to have maturated a lot since the last time I tried it.

I just discovered the checkbox for widescreen monitors. This made
1440x900 available in the drop-down menu. But setting the secondary
screen (LCD TV) to 1360x768, AND checking the widescreen box, the only
options available are (screenshot attached):
800x600
1280x720
1280x768

Dear all,
there is still a problem with the support of pulseaudio for 32bit app that is:
libpulse0 depends on libcap1 which is not in the packaged libs.
I have finally got flashplugin sound using pulseaudio (and not alsa or other
way) by
1. adding the corresponding /lib32/libcap*
2. also adding
I can automatically connect to hidden AP in either Vanilla Ubuntu
(Gutsy) or LinuxMint (Darnya(based on Gutsy)).
I was trying out the latest alpha build of Xubuntu (Hardy) and I guess
