In my case, knotify4 was crashing on logout (restart, shutdown) if I had
sound Notifications on. Knotify crashed somewhere in phonon xine
backend. Setting player to None in sound settings solved this for me.
However, I use OpenSuse 10.3. Attaching traces.

laptop's internal wireless card (RaLink) seems to be working under 8.04,

longer press the media key on the keyboard to launch rhythmbox which is
