FWIW, I have also reproduced this problem in Gutsy as well, which uses
openssl-0.9.8e-5ubuntu3.
However, Dapper-Feisty do not exhibit this problem. Feisty uses
openssl-0.9.8c-4ubuntu0.2.
It seems that the regression was introduced sometime between
openssl-0.9.8c and 0.9.8e.

Hardy/amd64, using a D-Link USB bluetooth module.
It's slightly improved from Gutsy, because on Gutsy, running
/etc/init.d/bluetooth restart would not fix it and I had to reboot. On

OK, I reinstalled with the i386 version of Ubuntu Hardy and the problem still
exists, so it must be that wine does not like the hardware.
Using an NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT. Even with a fresh install, no nvidia
restricted driver, the same problem occurs.

I've installed (no upgrade) Hardy. I found out that Gshutdown is in the
same situation as previously Gutsy (I already mentioned it at that
time!!) i.e.
When I program a session closing at a predetermined time: fine
BUT when I want to shutdown at a given time, Gshutdown actual

Evolution "forgets" POP3 passwords after sendi
Destroy turns the machine off but:
(1) It is not clear that that is a good thing to do from the warnings and the
fact that the functionality is "hidden" beneath a contect menu instead in the
console.
(2) After choosing destroy I can no longer restart the VM. I get errors saying
the the VNC fai
This is due to enabled backports updates (unsupported !!!) in the package
management system.
See bug #228067 in qt4-x11 (Ubuntu) for the solution that helped me.
Lyx now works again reverting to libqt4-* packages version 3.4.x.
This was really a shock because I was in the middle of a 150 pages

firefox crashed with SIGSEGV in __kernel_vsy
No I think it was related to my burner being partly unplugged. I reseated it
and haven't had any problems. Thanks for checking
