suspect you're right and this may not a bug specific to PolicyKit, but
it is a valid bug. DBus services should be able to cope with being

I am having a same problem + it sometimes gives me a notification that my
battery is taken out, and after a while it says that it is inserted back.
This happens from time to time...
Laptop is MSI Megabook EX600X-251EU and system is Kubuntu Hardy(latest update).

Here is the patch for version in intrepid. It's the same as the one for
Hardy, with distribution and version change for intrepid in
debian/changelog.
The current fix can't be uploaded to Hardy, before it's uploaded to
Intrepid. I'll prepare a Stable Release Update bug report, once this one
