I disagree, sorry. Other people have already pointed out a number of
reasons. You mention that RSA needs a larger key size, but note that
ssh-keygen already defaults to 2048-bit RSA keys.
The main reason why DSA used to be preferred by many people was that the
RSA algorithm was subject to patents.

I just looked it up. According to the project website, the newest
version is of May 23rd, 2008 whereas Ubuntu 8.04 contains a version of
November 18th, 2007.

I probably have the same problem. It happens most of the time I try to
open Nautilus folder in browse mode. I'm running Ubuntu 8.04 with ATI
X1550 and ATI Catalyst 8.5 driver.
If compiz is not enable, there is no problem at all.

Isn't it possible that previous version of libeel tolerated such things
as value 0 instead of false in gconf, and the newest one does not? Then
the upgrade would only reveal an incorrect change in configuration.

I also confirm the same effect. My friend bought one top of the line
laptop pre-installed with vista... it took him two days to get
frustrated... then i offered him my hardy heron CD. since then he is as
happy as ever!
