i definitely think this is due to wrong permission settings. vfat does
not support permissions whereas ext3 does.

I can also confirm that "killall pulseaudio" works around this issue.
This would suggest that pasuspender should work too (I believe it's
supposed to suspend pulse audio for the duration of the script it's
calling), but that didn't seem to work for me while "killall pulseaudio"

No action i'm aware of yet. Times like this i wish i had more technical
