Have you tried downgrading libasound2 back to 1.0.15? I.e the version
that was originally in hardy? If so, do you get the same problems?
So far, I am unable to reproduce this bug. I will keep digging however.

I confirm similar (less critical) behaviour: under FF3 (3.0+nobinonly-
0ubuntu0.8.04.1), asking ff3 to check for addon updates does not
complete. I can close the addon window without a crush. Everytime the
same (5) addons are stuck in the checking for update state. The message

I'm not sure what exactly you're reporting here; you can change your
zoom level under view-zoom, and change the font size in the
preferences, under the 'content' tab, in the 'fonts colors' section...

I'm using an HP Pavilion N5000 laptop with the D-Link DWL-G630 wireless
PCI card, and while the card is recognized, network-admin doesn't
include a Wireless entry. Originally, I didn't have any problems, but
I should mention that this issue didn't start until I upgraded from
Feisty Gutsy Hardy.
Public bug reported:
When the order of the partitions in the partition table in the MBR is
not the same as the order of the partitions in the disk, the kernel
package installer changes the (hd0,X) to (hd0,Y) with Y being some other

Paul, can you send us a screenshot of the firefox window, to get an idea of
your problem?
Have you tried right-clicking anywhere on the Navigation toolbar and selecting

definitely point to a Cairo problem. I'll try to downgrade Cairo to Gutsy
version (1.4.10) and see what happens.
