I have the same hardware with a Philips Brilliance 151AX monitor. I had
to install with "safe graphics mode" and now only have a screen
resolution of 800x600 (instead of 1024x768).
I tried to install a newer version of the X server from

i get the same behavior using vlc and openoffice when using the browse for a
file function. i could only reproduce the error in gdb using vlc and not using
openoffice; the full backtrace is attatched.

system doesn't support 'proper' permissions that's none of our business.

The bcm4318 card is certainly functional for me using the b43 driver

is because of the way Nautilus handles trash for locations outside of
your home folder. When you delete a file outside of your home folder,

With my other computer, default settings :
1. create new podcast
2. enter the URL : http://rss.futura-sciences.com/fs/podcast
3. Dbl click on the first stream : download OK
4. go to podcast settings, set download location to /var/tmp
5. Dbl click on the second stream : download OK
6. I exit Ryth
Your /etc/xdg/applications.menu has an extra '' at the end, which is
probably why it doesn't work. This is backed up by the error you got when

I am experiencing this too on Intel GM965 using the -intel driver. My
desktop is workable by disabling compiz effects, but as I use a number
of the accessibility features in compiz, I am hampered from working

Im using newest Hardy. It seems to me it worked some months ago?
I tried editing the /etc/gdm/locale.conf, the /etc/locale.alias and the
/var/lib/locales/supported.d/eo but no luck.

I can't reproduce this. The steps I'm taking (to compile the Virtualbox
kernel module) are:
1) sudo apt-get install virtualbox-ose-source #install the virtualbox kernel
module source
2) Extract /usr/src/virtualbox-ose.tar.bz2 to some writable location (in this
case, ~/Desktop)
3) cd ~/Desktop/mo
