Patch attached for kvm. This is a port of the gtk-vnc patch to the qemu
built in kvm. That code has been working for a few weeks now for virt-

I remember I could change gxine's mixer device to be software mixer, but
I don't remember what alsa_mixer_name I used anymore. I remember I got
some hint from xmms's settings dialog, but I can't install it anymore in
Ubuntu 8.04 to refresh my memory. I think software mixer would be great,

and I use Hardy Heron (pavuk 0.9.35 2007-10-29T02:09 linux-gnu).
So I have no debugging info yet.

Hi.
Same issue with Ubuntu 8.10 AMD64 Alpha6. I tried the desktop and the server
variant, both show the same symptom.
Following Yotam's tip I added the 'all_generic_ide' parameter to the boot line
but with no success.
I get stopped with several lines of

Using a Live CD image dated 20080917.1 - I can confirm that universe is
commented when running the Live CD, while multi-verse is not in the
/etc/apt/sources.list file at all. If someone could find out what was
in /etc/apt/sources.list on a Hardy Live CD that would be helpful.

Remo, this bug is about the e1000e driver, which is a Gigabit ethernet
driver. Any issues you're seeing with your wireless are unrelated to
this bug.
What reason do you have to believe your wireless has been broken, as
opposed to simply being unsupported by Intrepid?
