I'm using a firewire hard disk for backing up my data with rsync. Since
upgrading to intrepid every time I try rsync, it works for a moment
(perhaps for 10 or 20 seconds) and then the data transfer to stopps and
the hard disk
If you're still having this problem, I suggest you try the PulseAudio

you may have gathered.

Alberto, you have more experience with those kind of quirks: Obviously
that option isn't necessary for all cards, just for some. It wouldn't be
too hard to add the option just for the 6150, but there might be more
affected cards. Did you happen to use something similar in envy?

I consider this as fixed now, since the preferred one will have a
"(recommended)" tag. I don't *really* like it as well, but icky as those
nvidia driver beasts are, you just might need to try a different one on
some hardware.

Can you tell me more about /tmp ? Is it a directory on sda2, a partition, a
loop device, a tmpfs partition, ... ? How is it mounted ?
