I have the exact same problem on my brand new Lenove ThinkPad T500 with
a Intel GMA 4500MHD GFX card. It happens with both pm-suspend and pm-
hibernate. I have tested this on a fully updated Intrepid.

I opened a folder via "Open With" and then "kdirstat", after this when I tried
opening Places->HomeFolder it opened it with kdirstat.
Thats highly undesirable. This was corrected by opening a folder "open
with"->"nautilus".

Using xfce4-places-plugin version 1.0.0-1ubuntu1.1 in xubuntu 8.04.
I can unmount and mount a USB-memory stick and a floppy without problem
(good).

upgrade the command I previously wrote was not obvious to run and so I
kept it unmodified at first.
