On a fresh install of Intrepid Server drbd is not started on system
boot. However, manually running "/etc/init.d/drbd start" works fine. I
noticed that the startup link in /etc/rc2.d/ is missing. After running
"update-rc.d drbd defaults" the link is still missing, it only exis
I'm experiencing this issue also with an HP Pavilion dv6700 laptop that
works fine with Hardy. If you need some additional data from a
different hardware set, I'd be glad to run any tests and capture any

I figured that I would format my disk and reinstall using the newest iso

Correct.
Move the cursor over one of the desks with an open window and it says "click
to start dragging". This enables you to move an open window from one
workspace to another. This worked with any window ( that I tried ), not just
Open Office, in the previous Ubuntu but doesn't work with 8.04.

FYI: there are a lot of bugs that were reported a long time ago as yours
and when they were fixed the user forgot to say that it had been fixed.
That's the reason why people asks you on every release and it could be
your case.
Maybe someone should remember you that Ubuntu is maintained overall by

Happened to me as well using a Dell Latitude E6400 when I connected to a
projector and selected to use it as a 1024x768 (its native resolution)
