On another 8.10 machine (a fresh install), aiccu behaves the same when
installing (crash of aiccu when filling out incorrect sixxs

Since you see the problem only when running a non-Ubuntu kernel, it
sounds like it is a problem with that kernel, rather than with xorg

rfurman24: I note that Erick Brunzell's case where it worked had one
SATA drive and one IDE drive; are both your drives the same? (e.g. both
IDE?) Also out of curiosity, have you tried rebooting your system since
the upgrade to udev 124-9?

I get things mixed up as I am still new to linux, I wrote can't load restricted
module but I think I mean load the glx driver that requires the module...(this
is the supported driver right?)
Also need to add that my screen display is off center with the default nv
driver; by almost 1/2 inch over

I located a document by Debian including a suggestion (below) of using
the left side Command key for the right mouse button. I've never used a
macbook myself; can you folks share your feelings on this idea?

In my Ubuntu Intrepid 8.10, it matters if the CD RW data disk is
compressed or not. Ubuntu reads an uncompressed data disk just fine,
but as soon as I pop in a compressed one (by Roxio Easy CD Creator 7) ,
the error message appears about invalid mount option, a dbus error and
