I may have found a workaround. It's difficult to be sure because the
problem is intermittent on my system. The change disables auto-mount for
all removable media. The technique was posted at

Exactly the same thing happening to me also in an Acer Aspire One after
upgrading the kernel to 2.6.24-23.48. Fortunately an older kernel was
left so I can boot and work. From the last comments, I understand that
2.6.24-23.49 in the repository does not solve the problem and we have to
wait for 2.6.
Likewise I just got "Connection establis...". This illustrates that
there are valid use-cases for variable text (network name) in the title-
text. Any solution which does not resize the bubble to accomodate all
reasonable text the application provides is a significant UI wart.

It seems the only way to get gstreamer to work the way you want is to override
every one of its settings with something you want. I was finally able to use
this pipeline:
audio/x-raw-int,rate=44100,channels=2 ! lame name=enc mode=0 vbr=4
vbr-quality=0 quality=0 vbr-min-bitrate=32 vbr-max-bitrat
I have found a bug in mozilla with this same problem. I have linked it

persistence (casper-rw). Suspect I may need to double those partition

Same problem. Mine is intermittent. Seems to get stuck in this state.
Sometimes reboot fixes it... sometimes it does not. This is 8.10

With rhythmbox 0.11.6svn20081008-0ubuntu4.3 on intrepid I find the same
behavior.
Using this version i produced the attached log file. Note that there are two

This is my use case: I am maintainig the debian package for qutecom (ex
wengophone). It depends on ffmpeg (so I need libavcodec-dev). At runtime

Please post version of ssh you are using, details of your wireless card, and
release of Ubuntu.
To do this, enter in a terminal
$ apt-cache policy openssh-client

Very similar issue here with udev 138. I can confirm also that going
back to 137-2 fixes the problem. My system hangs on bootup, and never
manages to mount the root.

the 'wrong' drive was a sata2 one and there is no way to retrieve the
