Its a complex C++ library, this is why its so big. It speeds up the
parsing of all the XML data in /usr/share/compiz by building a protobuf
based cache of them. This gives me a improvement from 3s to 2.1s startup

Thanks for the logs, that is a bit myserious. The log say that the hang
was detected and the code should auto exapnd the terminal in this case.
I just tested it here for me it works (auto expand after 4 minutes).

A1 is Mobilkom's brand in Austria for mobile communication. Mobilkom
doesn't directly offer mobile contracts but A1 does, so it should be
renamed to A1, maybe to Mobilkom (A1) to make it obvious and follow the

I have the same problem while using ubuntu 9.04 alpha (kernel 2.6.28), but only
at first insert.
Pluging headphones doesn`t switch off the speakers, after pluging out and
pluging in again, speakers are muted, and headphones works OK

I can change the brightness using this command:
sudo bash -c 'echo 128 /sys/class/backlight/kb3886-bl/brightness'
i.e. by writing values in the range 0..255 into
/sys/class/backlight/kb3886-bl/brightness
but changing it with xbacklight, e.g. with
sudo xbacklight -set 50
