FWIW, I don't use audacity that much and usually don't have music
playing in the background. I never experienced this previously. Today,
I tried to reproduce this with exaile and audacity in Jaunty. The music
from exaile stayed the same speed. That does NOT mean the problem does
not still exist

Network Manager tells just that wireless is not available (it's grey).
