I just installed Ubuntu 9.04 beta with LDE 4.2 and nedit 5.5 on one of

I don't think that this bug is really a duplicate of #338669.
1. They look differently.
2. Bug #338669 states that "moving the mouse over them triggers a correct
repaint", while for me situation is quite opposite: initially widgets are
painted correctly, but moving mouse over them causes widgets
I don't know if this helps, but the crash does not occur on another
system with an ATI graphics card, running the same fully-up-to-date
Jaunty, and same version of Java.

This may well be because some plugins are still at version 3.5.0, the
main app (and some other plugins) are at 3.6.1 instead. All of my 3.6.1
plugins work, but multi-notifier and attach-warner (both 3.5.0) fail.
For now, the only way is to use the claws-mail ppa.

I've done what Kim did, except after a hibernate and resume (while
evolution was running) it happens again. The imap server is on localhost
(which was dovecot, and so that too was hibernated and resumed too). I
really don't want to move away stuff again because that would make
evolution to refetch

OK, carried on and echoed various things to /sys/power/xyz as per the
wiki page in the above comment. Booted with no_console_suspend. To copy
from there
# lsmod > lsmod.output.txt
# echo devices > /sys/power/pm_test

Well, I've been listening to Amarok2 all day on Jaunty and I haven't
heard a skip - and as far as I can tell it still uses xine.

I seem to have the same problem, with a WD Caviar SE WD2500AAJS drive.
The gutsy kernel works (for the disk), everything from hardy to jaunty
beta does not.
What can I do to help get this fixed?

I repeated some tests.
I downloaded from an FTP 1 GB to the /storage XFS partition -> no error.
I started copying from the NTFS older drive some other data (50 GB) to
the /storage partition on the new drive and after 5-6 Gb of transfer I
started getting periodically the output shown above in the l

Thank you for such a quick answer.
I had to find how to go back to non-proprietary drivers (couldn't
remember...) and try to reproduce the bug and I did :-(
It looks like the nvidia graphics driver (173.14.12-1-0ubuntu5.1) is not
the culprit in this case
