areas. Artefacts appear either as parts of the desktop (including
widgets), or as random chunks of large (20-40px?), bold text, in an un-

It would seem that the problem isn't caused directly by kdetwitter but
is instead exposed by kdetwitter.
I've had the problem come up from time to time without kdetwitter
running but it takes a lot longer, maybee 10 or more hours of use to
start appearing.
