I have compiled the xorg-x11-drv-evdev-2.2.1-3.fc11 and tried instead of
the xf86-input-evdev-2.1.1 ubuntu package. The double click behaviour is

Martin, what udev rules are you talking about? The default ubuntu udev
rules do not deal with Apple PTP devices. Everything else is implemented
with libiphone+usbmuxd which ships with a udev rule on its own.

i can't seem to get amule to work, either with the 2.2.4 or the latest
2.2.5 version compiled from source.
Installation goes smoothly and gives no errors from start to end.

We used the vanilla versions corresponding to whatever was the stable Ubuntu
kernel at the time, for that release. (We didn't go to 2.6.30.)

The above syslog is from /var/log/syslog on the installed system. I
don't have /var/log/installer/syslog and I'm not running the live
installer. I also don't have /var/log/partman. I didn't touch any of the
log files. If you need anything else please let me know. I could
probably get the installer

another bug report is needed?
