Suddenly ubuntu is not booting up anymore, giving the following:

2. Compile the patched openchrome driver and install it

6. /etc/init.d/gdm start

I have looked through the hooks and I can see there is a typo in the
dmraid hook file.
Open up /usr/share/initramfs-tools/hooks/dmraid, so:
sudo gedit /usr/share/initramfs-tools/hooks/dmraid
look through that file, on line 23 it says force_load dm-raid45. This
should of course be dm-raid4-5.

Yeah, I'd personally suggest either changing Open to Glide 2 or
changing both Open and Close to Fade. I agree that fading is more
elegant and subtle, but that is likely subjective. The current is a
little distracting / in your face.
