Have the same problem with and en8500.
vbetool works but vesa driver does not.
The nVidia driver (from nVidia) works as well.
I would also like to point out the the vgacon driver
(drivers/video/console/vgacon.c) in the 2.6.30 kernel also fails to

After reading Damian Eads's post carefully, I noticed that I didn't
execute this command:
newgrp fuse
After performing this command, I was able to save files on the remote
file system.
Note: At one time, that step wasn't necessary for me, but not it is for
some reason.

Uninstalling ubuntuone-client-gnome made the problem disappear.
Reinstalling it has not recreated the problem though.

Every 2 minutes exactly, the wireless network stalls because network-manager
performs a network scan.
In some drivers (like the atheros ath9k) this causes the network to completely
