When you wiped the disk and created the single array could you post the output
of the above debug command for us. (sudo dmraid -ay -ddd -vvv)
Its a bit annoying trying to debug something when you don't give the full debug
output as you go.

synaptic tries to run gksu on kubuntu
I just installed fresh 9.04 64-bit server version using ubuntu-9.04
-server-amd64.iso, under Virtualbox.
After i login first time i get lots of /dev/null permission denied
messages and looking its rights i can see only root can access it.

When simply using the operating system, if I try to open some video on
firefox, or an avi video, or any other program, the operating makes
brief continuous pauses until it finishes opening the application, but
with videos, during the entire playback, the video makes brief
