a fresh Jaunty install, and also using an HP machine with Pentium 4 and
hyperthreading. I am including lspci output in case it is useful.

I should have said 'also'. There's still something funny going with the
/cdrom partition that can't be unmounted despite fuser/lsof not
reporting any open files, but fuse was the wrong package anyway.

When we finish migration, there may be pending async io requests
in flight. If we don't flush it before stage3 starting, it might be
the case that the guest loses it.

It will probably not make it into jaunty. For everyone who want vlc 1.0
you can grab it from the PPAs.

Weird. I can't make it crash with the following command:

I'm not sure why this is still Incomplete, as I think I gave everything
asked of me.
That said, I decided to boot into kernel 2.6.28-13.45-generic (ie, Jaunty's
kernel) on my up to date Karmic system, and I have sound with:
$ paplay /usr/share/sounds/ubuntu/stereo/desktop-login.ogg

No sound
I've got the same phone with the same problem.

Hey Andy, the laptop I was running Jaunty development on is now running
Karmic development. I have not been able to reproduce this problem
since before my previous comment. You can close this report at your
discretion.
If I have more suspend/resume problems I will file a new report.
Thanks.

Thanks for your work, but unfortunately there are still problems:
1. You still change the file debian/dirs but give no explanation on why in the
changelog.
2. You need to set the maintainer in debian/control to "Ubuntu Developers
" and preserver the Original maintainer

- vlc 1.0 works pretty well. Try it out from the repositories.
- You could also try out: apt://smplayer
Correct me if I'm wrong, but from the looks of it, vlc 1.0 might not be
updated in jaunty (Ubuntu 9.04) because of its dependencies. It is
