recovers and will always show the 'Error' status for that account, even

This is caused by the wrong spline direction, which makes synthetic
glyph emboldening becomes shrinking instead. You can notice this by
using an extremely large point size, like 72pt. The diacritics are still
there, at very very small size.

The thumbnails are stored in ~/.thumbnails/normal (and /large). Each
thumbnail filename seems to be a hash of the original filename. I guess
only the filename is used and not the full path, so two images with the
same name will have the same thumbnail.

I can confirm that Gnome64's solution worked for me. The details were:
Step 1 - cd /etc/grub.d
Step 2 - sudo gedit 30_otheros
Step 3 - search and replace $root with ${root}
Step 4 - Save 30_otheros
Step 5 - sudo update-grub2
Step 6 - sudo reboot
My test system has Windows XP, Jaunty, Karmic alph
I edited the Wiki page for video editing and screencasts and I updated
the entire page. I will make a revision to the ubuntu-docs too.

Michael Vogt is very interested in maintaining synaptic. and he knows that
synaptic will have a lot of users even if it is not part of the default
install. So this will be fixed in the synaptic project.
