I think I've found a possible problem with the radio-maestro module.
With this patch I did not have a kernel oops and could boot without

the result of a bug caused by a recent rewrite of rfkill in the kernel
(still present in 2.6.31-rc4).

Sorry I didn't reply before. The bug does still exist in Jaunty; I saw
it happen again just a few days ago. However, it's less frequent than
it used to be. Where before I could only get 1 or 2 user switches
before the bug happened, now it might be 6 or 7. The severity is worse
than I described
It also would be nice to preserve modularity: ability to remove

Here's the log file, I did exactly the same thing, however this time it
ended up with a hard CPU limit reached ending to my audio fun. Meanwhile
making the rest of the desktop winderfully unusable.

Also, it would be better if gufw was provided with the default ubuntu
installation, then users would be less likely to try out these
conflicting firestarter and guarddog applications.

I think that everything worked correctly until today's upgrades.
Sound in flash videos works good, but in totem and rhytmbox I can't hear ANY
